Hello Followers,

In this update we add a new map to play on! This new map should give players some visual variety now to play and freshen up the game for old players. Additionally we have changed our level up system a bit. This change should help players not feel like the game is slowing down or getting interrupted once they reach a high level. For detailed information please read below:  

• New Map:
  • We have added a second map to the game, a rainforest with an ancient alien temple in the center! The color and theme of the map represents a big shift from the original desert western map, and should give players a good visual change with the two maps now. While currently the maps have no effect on gameplay and game mechanics, longer term we are thinking of ways to make the map a part of the game mechanics itself.
• New Level Up System:
  • We have slightly changed the level up system as we got feedback that near the end of the game due to the amount of experience gain and rapid leveling the level up pop-up was showing up too much and causing too many interruptions. As of this update, once you have gotten enough experience to level up, you will see a pop-up near the bottom of the screen that tells you to hit a key, E by default, to open the level up screen. You will continue to accumulate experience and can store level up points if you want to hit the key to bring up the screen later. This button is configurable, and additionally the feature itself can be turned off to return to the older way of the level up screen popping up every time you level up. Just to re-iterate the new system of hitting a key, the E key, is now ON BY DEFAULT.

Some minor changes:

• Damage upgrades have been separated now, so each weapon type has its own damage upgrade with different values.
• XP gain continues to be worked on as we are trying to find a right balance for it.
• Weapons now show stats and what status effects they can apply
• Passives are now additives instead of multiplicative as our game testers broke the game one too many times!
• Updated the buttons and main menu
