Cult Survivors 0.2.0 Update

Hello Followers,

We are releasing the second major update to Cult Survivors. The main focus for this update was the meta progression system. While the system was implemented in a previous version, it has been reworked now to simplify it a bit and make it function better. Additionally other smaller things were added and fixed as well. For a detailed description please read below:

• Meta Progression system overhaul
  • As mentioned the meta progress system was in place (the shop tab at the main menu) but it was not functioning as we intended. We have overhauled it and simplified it, while hopefully making it feel more impactful, so the meta upgrades that you invest in make you feel stronger in your runs.
  • There is now a tier system, with numerous meta upgrades in each tier. Additionally you will need to unlock a certain amount of meta upgrades before moving to the next tier of upgrades, the amount needed is displayed to the left of the upgrades.
  • The meta progression system is now in a place where no major changes should take place for it, but we will potentially tweak things such as: cost, how much “gains” you get per unlock, difficulty of the game, and money drops. We might potentially expand and add new things to unlock as well!

Some minor changes:

• Shadows to enemies and drops have been added to make the game look nicer!
• Player hit animations have been improved.
• The location of debuffs have been changed to make it easier to fit on enemies and read.
